Day 1, Tuscany
Arrive in Florence pick up you car rental and drive South to the Tuscany countryside and the famous Chianti region. The balance of the day is at leisure to enjoy the village and the Chianti region on your own. Overnight in Tuscany.
Day 2, Chianti Wine Tasting
Explore the Chianti Wine region, In the morning we suggest a visit of Castellina in Chianti and the typical hilltop village of Montefioralle. Continue to a local wine estate for a visit of the cellars followed by a tasting of their local Chianti wines and a light lunch of Tuscan products. Overnight in Tuscany.
Day 3, Tuscan Cooking Class & Siena
After breakfast make your way to the typical restaurant in the heart of the Chianti region, where you will participate in a cooking class. Meet your private chef for and exciting 2 hours cooking lesson followed by a typical lunch. After lunch continue to Siena for an independent walking tour of this magnificent medieval town listed in the UNESCO world heritage. Return to your hotel. Overnight in Tuscany.
Day 4, San Gimignano and Pizza Cooking Class
Check out from your hotel this morning and drive to the walled town of San Gimignano for an independent visit to the historical city center. For your visit, we suggest the Collegiate Church of Maria Assunta, famous for the well-preserved frescos cycles of Domenico Ghirlandaio, described by UNESCO as “works of outstanding beauty”. Arrive in Florence and drop off your car. In the afternoon you will learn how to make a traditional Italian pizza and typical gelato in a three-hour cooking class in central Florence. Day 5, Florence
In the morning join a city tour: This discovery tour begins from one of the most beautiful and romantic spots in the world: Piazzale Michelangelo, where you can drink in the sights and historical panorama of Florence lying before your eyes. Then you plunge into the city itself: first stop, the Accademia Gallery, famous for its David of Michelangelo, the unfinished works of art Prigioni, San Matteo, la Pietà di Palestrina and other masterpieces by the great artist. The tour ends with a stroll through the historic streets of the city to arrive in PIAZZA DUOMO, here you will learn thesecrets of Giotto’s Bell Tower, and discover the beauty of the Baptistery with its golden, bronze doors (including the famous Porta del Paradiso). Last but not least, there is the breathtaking Cathedral itself. Overnight in Florence.
Day 6, Florence to Rome
This morning take the train to Rome where you can do some shopping or perhaps visit some sights at your leisure. In the afternoon you could take the optional tour “Imperial Rome”: see Piazza Venezia, Capitol Hill, and Circus Maximus and even visit the Coliseum. Overnight in Rome.
Day 7, Vatican Tour
This morning proceed to the meeting point from where you will be escorted on a tour of the Vatican Museums. You will walk up the beautiful Spiral Staircase and continue through the Tapestries Gallery of the Geographical Maps. You will continue with the visit of the famous Sistine Chapel with its magnificent frescos of Michelangelo. The balance of the day is at leisure to enjoy Rome on your own. Overnight in Rome.
Day 8, Cooking Class in Rome
This morning make your way to the meeting point to begin your Food walking tour of Rome. Venture off the beaten path to experience the real flavors of Rome in the vibrant neighborhoods of Trastevere and Campo de’ Fiori. Along the way, we’ll share insider tips on Italian cuisine and introduce you to local food specialties, immersing you in Rome’s rich culinary traditions. In between each delicious tasting, you’ll get a glimpse into the history, culture, and architecture that define the Eternal City. You’ll finish your tour with a glass of wine and fresh pasta prepared just for you at one of our spectacular locations in the heart of the city. Overnight in Rome.
Day 9, Departure from Rome
After breakfast check out from your hotel, meet your driver for your transfer to the airport.
